Day Six

We woke up a little earlier than usual, but very well rested. Our first destination today was The Sacred Valley of the Incas. We visited the Pisac Ruins first. The ruins had very interesting agricultural terraces and we learned that they were made by hauling richer topsoil by hand from lower lands. This makes it much more efficient for agriculture to grow at such heights.

Next we went to the market and looked around for a bit, relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. We knew we wanted to see The Temple Fortress of Ollantaytambo before we left, so we headed there next. The fortress was a very beautiful place and we decided to settle down and eat our lunches we had pre-packed there. We took our time eating and enjoying our surroundings before heading back to the hotel.

Exhausted, we fell asleep early, skipping dinner.
