Day Three

Today, we decided Since we didn't see the catacombs at the Church of San Francisco, because it closed before we could finish our tour we went back using the same transportation as last time. It only cost $2.00 for each person.

We thought it was very interesting how in the large chamber, the bones were strategically placed in a way in which the made a cirutain pattern. It also hit us how sad it must have been for the people who had to put them there.

After looking around the catacombs for around an hour, we decided we wanted to visit the Aliaga House because we had heard a lot of great things about it from friends who had been before. The house is the oldest in the Americas and contains a wide range of Peruvian art and artifacts. The house has been renovated, so it did not look worn out. We thought the house was very huge and beautiful and we were very fascinated by the distinct Peruvian style. Since the house is so big and our tour guide was very educated on the house, it took us a while to finish looking and learning about the history of the house.
